National Institute of Mental Health
The National Institute of Mental Health is the lead Federal agency for research on mental and behavioral disorders. The NIMH is actively involved in strategic planning and priority-setting for the Institute as whole as well as for specific research areas. NIMH solicits input from patients and their advocates, scientists, Congress, the public, and the National Advisory Mental Health Council.
